Is Chris Elliott Canadian? He is on the Canadian TV show “Schitt’s Creek”

The show Schitt Creek may have come from the brains of Canadians, but it is loved by audiences around the world. While much of the cast is from the far north, fans of the show often wonder if is Chris Elliot Canadian?

If you’ve ever watched the hit series, you know Elliot for his role as Roland Schitt, the longtime mayor of Schitt’s Creek. His character is known to frequently play with Johnny Rose (played by Eugene Levy) and avoid his duties as the ruler of the city.

As mentioned earlier, the sitcom is known to be a very Canadian show – in fact, every member of the cast was born in Canada except for Elliot.

The 59-year-old actor was born on May 31, 1960, in the great city of New York. Elliot was featured in the limelight from a young age as his mother was a model and television director, and his father was part of a comedy duo called Bob and Ray.

The American star broke into the company when he was hired as a production assistant on Late Night with David Letterman in 1982. Over the years, Elliot began writing for the series and ended up making several screen appearances.

Other credits the actor has collected over the years include groundhog day, Horror movie 2, how I Met Your Mother, Everyone loves Raymond, and The last man on earth, Just to name a few.

Elliot joined the cast of Schitt Creek when the series premiered in 2015 and has appeared in all five seasons so far.

It has been hilarious and heartwarming to see the growth of Roland Schitt’s character over the years, and it will certainly be interesting to see what happens to him in the upcoming sixth season.

The last season of Schitt Creek will air on January 7. You can check out the trailer below.
